A US company should take care of their US employees first and foremost.
If I went to Japan to work for Nissan, I would not expect them to exalt me above their own Japanese employees.

Or they can live in their Teslas until they find a new gig as the new protected class.

Any one who enters this country on a NON-IMMIGRANT visa and proceeds to buy a house, get married and have kids KNOWING that their visa is tied to their employment, KNOWS it's a risk they take, so sorry. If their skills are in such high demand that Americans cannot do the same work as them, then they shouldn't have any problem finding another H1-B sponsor to get them closer to that elusive green card. I feel way more empathy for the millions of Americans that don't earn enough of a living wage to feed their families.

H1-Bs getting sent home in lieu of Americans is way down people's list of sad, only slightly below Silicon Valley refugees who can no longer make payments on their $2M hovels built in 1925. But hey, San Francisco has a tent for you!
