I am reading that splitting Meta in two pieces is in the making. One company would be the Metaverse cr-p and other -everything else. Any news on that, is it seriously considered?

Perhaps not a bad idea. Investors pour money into money losing startups for a long time. Just look at Uber and Twitter. Spin off another company, hype up potential for future revenue, and the investors will pour in.
yeah it already exists in some way, it's rl. regarding splitting off completely as its own business, this is old news and has been all rumours so far, nothing confirmed. but it does make sense because as a brand, meta and facebook might as well be called stealyourdata like all other top tech firms. the downside is if the rebranding split happens, everyone and their grandma already knows it's still part of zuck's empire so people will continue to stay away. meta has a brand image problem and it's mind boggling how they haven't done more to fix its brand
