You are wrong, there will be layoffs. Performance based layoffs, 5-10%, so get your sorry -ss back to work.

If your job can be adequately replaced by a fresh grad with no real life experience, I hate to break it to you, you weren't important anyway.
Most likely there will be significant restructuring rather than replacement.
We have too many people and need to shed ‘excess’ and ‘redundant’ positions.
