How much severance does a Band D partner get when subject to RA at IBM US
Is it the same 3 month severance for Band D partner or you get 6 months or more being an executive . just want to prepare for the worse given the rumors of an upcoming RA in April 2026

@c2 okay so its the standard 3month package that everyone gets for band D in the US. anyone able to negotiate the package with or without attorney involvement
@OP Letter bands are executive positions. Executive packages are different from non-executive employees. Further packages are different depending upon country.
Yes as others have said, IBM Consulting seems to get better/special treatment and better pay outs when leaving IBM on their terms or IBMs. You really should know this and talk with 1 or more of the many IBM Consulting folks who thought they were protected and then BAM get the notice of RA or PIP and left IBM. In 1 case I know the person got a fairly sweet deal of 6 months+ payout that was negotiated back and forth. Good luck.
In the US, Band D severance in the past has been 3 months salary. And any RSUs you hold will expire on your separation date -- meaning if you have RSUs that have not vested, you get $0 from those RSUs.

5 months severance is standard for Band D and C. Band B and up is individually negotiated.
This is a BS post. IBM executives have a special employment contract. You should have known your package already unless you’re not a band D executive.
