Never in my life have I worked for a company with so many incompetent leaders. Sales, presales, product, marketing… the lot! Its time to clean out the old command and start fresh. Current leaders either: know someone higher up and are hired to be an ally, are a hangover from the last quota based hiring regime, are old as ba--s or came in through nepotism.

@d1 not strange at all.. manager roles are taken by people like you not because of competence, but because of your brown nose. Your time will come and you will be exposed. Dell is like cargo ship, it keeps moving slowly and your influence + impact is zero

@be Yes, and Dell is an absolute sh-t show. So glad I was let go in 2021 and not in today's job market. I was able to get a new job racking and stacking equipment for oracle (at nearly double my Dell salary) within 2 weeks of being layed off. Best think that ever Hampton me as I was able to pay off my house 12 years early and now have 26 years to focus on building up retirement savings.
sad but true and it is a big change from the XP days at Dell when you had leadership actually move up from the cubicle and headset. Those days sadly are long gone many of the 'senior directors' know next to nothing about technology never retired their quota from the phones and never carried the bag. They are overpaid dinner hosts

@OP is unfortunately 100% correct. I know it has been stated many times, but ISG truly has some of the worst leadership in the industry. From SVP to VP to Director level on down, these clowns are nothing but incompetent talking heads. They have no clue what they're doing, and it shows. It takes ISG engineering 6 years to release two features. And when they do, neither works right.
The problem is there's never any accountability in leadership at Dell. If you look at their histories, they have very little professional or educational qualifications for their roles. They came in through the "friends and family" plan and they protect each other like the mafia. It really is a joke!
