McKinsey suit aka Big Al is going to run roughshod on Verizon pretty soon. This firm is going to be so different to what it was 6 months ago. Dismantling the layer upon layers of upper Management fat and bringing in a consulting rigor that might help the firm in the short term, but is going to bleed the firm dry long term. The biggest issue is the utter lack of vision to make Verizon stand out and out compete by being innovative. All we see is bean counters proposing more job cuts to reduce costs while having no plans for what the day after is going to look like. No matter what, Verizon will never be as cost competitive as T-Mo as we have Wireline assets that a real money sink. No firm run by a consultant is going to thrive in the current tech environment.We need someone of the likes of Musk or Bezos or Jensen Huang or Hock Tan, not some suit who uses fancy words like North Star, granularity, blue ocean etc

Dan is a tiger. It could be a problem having two predators in the same room. They may step on the other's paws.
@cw I buy crypto with PayPal regularly, the only exchange you don't have to join. They make it easy to trade. Do you live under a pole? Wake up.
It is good to see they are tapping the right individuals to clean up Han's mess. It seems the board has wised up.
McKinsey are dull minded clowns
This guy sounds great but could be a potential problem. You can't have to giants in the same room without some head bumping. Dan is a tiger is going to want to have final say on issues. Alfonso has an ego as he is known for flaunting prowess. Eventually there could be a behind the scenes conflict. Dan will certainly win but it could mess up his end goal. So we should be a bit wary of this development.
Any friend of Dan's is a friend for him to make him $$$. Wait and see what happens to this company after his payout in 18 months. He has fu--ing no idea about what to do... look at where Paypal is... sh---y company. Does anyone use it? Same thing is going to happen here... and his friend Alfonso is a super Id--t. He thinks he knows it all... he's going to take the firm down. Ex consultant who only thinks in the near term and doesnt know how to run the business. They will make their money and run away... Lets see how many more rifs can help the firm in the short term. The talent remaining is continuing to be as bad as it was earlier. Won't say that some fat hasn't been eliminated -it has. But so has some very good talent that was paid competitively. They cut the good talent out too... do you think the sh---y talent that remains will take the company forward??? most leaders have no clue on what to do. Fu-k Dan. Super fu-k Alfonso.
@OP Ouch!!!
If he helps Dan identify those needing elimination then it is a good thing he is coming to aid the cause. Any friend of Dan is a friend of the shareholder.
The more rifs, the higher the stock price
