Sabre has turned into a horrible workplace I'd love to leave with a nice safety net. If layoffs are coming, I volunteer.

I got hit in the last "good" one in 2023, but already had 2 other "bids" for my niche expertise. Took the one I wanted but that ended late last year. Now, just retired. You should try it. Quite refreshing to scroll through this and realize I don't have to deal with this cr-p anymore.

@j8 Probably not good odds of another off by next Friday… but far better than lottery ticket winning of a RIF later this year for certain. They say there are only two certainties in life… death and taxes. That’s not quite true. Add on more to that list:
- death
- taxes

@mx That's why we want to be laid off, not to leave by ourselves. Just to get additional year of runway while looking for something new.
Just FYI the market is cr-p. Many capable people are taking 1-2 years to find a job right now.
Yeah, I was hoping too. I decided in January to leave Sabre but was going to wait until the end of the first quarter. Still have not given notice, will next Friday. But if there is a 1% chance of another RIF, I am hopeful. Probably better odds than buying a lottery ticket.
