I see posts from people here that say they left Nielsen and they are happier and/or they earn more money at their new jobs. Some of you even say that you've "found freedom". For those of us that are looking for work it would be really helpful if you could let us know what job you were doing with Nielsen and where you went? Let us know if any of your Nielsen skills transferred over that your new employer may have been interested in.

In a place where i got a raise and a promotion within 6 months and I work half of the hours I was doing at Nielsen (due to overtime). I had to get up to speed so fast when at Nielsen, due to continuous layoffs and having to train colleagues , that in my new job I can use a third of the skills I have acquired at Nielsen and still be highly praised and paid. Oh and the toxicity is one tenth too.not to talk about the yearly review ratings! Having Nielsen on the CV helped too
I was released from "prison" (Nielsen) in my late 40s after a long, mostly successful 15+ year stint! This was pre covid days. I had also worked in the biz at that point for 20+ years in high stress client facing roles so was quite happy to take a break. I was certainly very jaded by that point anyway. Since I have no kids, my financial situation was probably different than most who lose their job at that age. Didn't have to worry about kids in college or anything of the sort. Basically just had to make my monthly nut and that was it. I was also fortunate enough to had gone in on a couple of real estate investment properties with my siblings...which is still giving me a passive income. Am I able to retire? No. But after watching lots of people around me die during covid, I kinda realized I'd much rather "just get by" financially and be free to spend my time as I wish vs. ki-l myself to make 100k+ only to be miserable and have zero balance in my life. I'll probably have to get a real job at some point but I've sure enjoyed the last 6 yrs of my life away from Nielsen and the daily grind.
I retired from Nielsen at 65, after 26 years there. The constant stress and demands were wearing me down.
I found a job at a Tampa based telecom company. Helping them with Incident Management, problem Management.
Making $17K more a year than I was making at Nielsen.
Took me 5 months of non stop application submitting, interviews, and rejections.
There is life after Nielsen. Don't lose hope.
It took 8 months but now I work for the state. Look for city, state or county jobs. There is stability in this route.
