The entire vRealize/Aria Suite is multiple case studies in product mismanagement. VC Ops was bloated and cludgey on arrival, Automation is the stepchild of the disastrous and botched Dynamic Ops acquisition, and LCM has never really worked. Log Insight wasn't bad for what it is, but didn't scale.

I was at VMware for many years. My last stint was on LCM which ended in 2021. This was just before I was shown the door because "they wanted people who they could move forward with". Which really meant by not supporting all things woke and g-y and refusing indoctrination (Unconscious Bias Training ) your no longer a team player.
Oh the memories that I will never forget but I am rambling.
In any case LCM ... I don't know who the people were who wrote that spaghetti but what a fine mess it was. Within the first week it became apparent there were several race conditions in it that potentially would fail the upgrade or deployment (cant remember that detail). I raised this multiple times along with reproducible steps. I had even provided a fix, or one at least which I was not able to reproduce with. Unfortunately however this assignment was to be used as cover to give me the axe so everything said or written was ignored.
Now however, I have heard some nasty rumors about LCM lol ... something along the lines of a single threaded approach causing very long delays in upgrades? How ironic, but I guess senior management sending out weekly emails in regards to LGBTQ , white supremecy, transrites and some g-y movies made about Indians for some reason must have been worth it lol. The alternative could have been identifying the issues and addressing these problems back in 2021.
