There has to be a bankruptcy announcement coming right after the new year. There is no way vendors are getting paid after another abysmal quarter/holiday season. I bet 1/2/23.

For liquidation purposes it makes the most sense to get inventory completed as early as possible. BBB needs to know how much money is tied up with inventory within the stores, especially since it is not selling. An accurate count of inventory company wide could actually put them even further into debt. Outlook: Bankruptcy Bankruptcy & Bankruptcy.
To the person talking about inventory starting in April…note on zipline shows stores starting in January and going all the way through May.
Aren't MBA's and execs from Walgreen's and Whole Foods the greatest retail minds on the planet?
The blame comes from Union, NJ. I should know! Greed, mismanagement & terrible corporate decisions. Bye bye BBBY……good riddance
For the sake of all the associates in all stores I hope Bed Bath and Beyond can be saved. Whenever shopping with my wife I take along a good book and wait in my truck, with the exception of Bed Bath and Beyond. Bright, clean, an incredible array of products, and fantastic associates. Not working at Bed Bath and Beyond I do not know where all the blame should go. Blaming senior management, in my opinion, is not the only reason for the Bed Bath and Beyond debacle. It is my opinion that a sinking economy is to blame. Inflation is kicking the life out of lower income and middle income Americans. Bed Bath and Beyond, nor any retailer, cannot survive on business from the well to do. It's a numbers game. Americans are being squeezed hard. When a decision has to be made to pay the rent, buy groceries, heat the home, pay rising health care costs etc purchasing new pillows, bed spreads, curtains, a new kitchen appliance, all "nice to haves", take second place to the aforementioned. The next shoe to fall is credit card debt. We are not hurting enough yet, but soon we will. Be ready.
That makes sense why the inventory dates are so far into April . BBB will be announcing chapter 11 soon.
BBB declares bankruptcy, we all know it's coming soon. What happens to Baby and Harmon after?
They probably are just sucking up what few dollars they can right now and after the season is over guess what kids...it's over...and ALL the blame lies in the Crack team of decision makers. The people that only set foot in stores virtually. The people that tossed out the idea of a locally driven store where managers had control of their inventory. Good job guys! Way to take an amazing company with a few faults and turn it into a sinking pile of sh-t! If that was the goal you guys nailed it.
It’s going to be a wild ride after Q3 earnings come out and we announce -30 to -40 comps.
Going with 1/5/23. It's done just prolonging the end .
