You really need to make a move to 411/111 for that to happen….. it really comes down more to a LD fu--ing up badly than it does with a sr manager performing and getting LTI.

Make it to LD and you’re good for at least $30k LTI (usually more liken $40kish these days). But even then they fu-k with you badly ( “oh you were only here 11 months…you get nothing “). But then you hit ED, and it’s a whole different ballgame. $65-85k in LTI regardless of how much time you did or how badly you cocked something up. That the golden position.

All 410 are eligible for equity, but only partially funded. If you are the only 410 on the team, your manager literally cannot fund your equity. They would need to ask their manager to take some from someone else to be able to make up the difference.

If there are 2 410s on the team, there is only enough funding for 1. If there are 3, you might be able to do 2, but even that I think will be just barely out of reach.

Rating doesn't make you eligible for LTI, but it should impact how much you are given relative to others as long as the funding exists. In my org, if you get a 2, you don't get any so rating could impact you that way too.

I think most managers try to spread LTI to individuals every year, rotate through the team so that everyone can get some if they deserve it.
