The legacy EMC group is the only group making any money in ISG.
The Dell side couldn't put two spoons together in a drawer. Anything they develop has more bugs in it than an outhouse.

@b1 Powerflex is from the Legacy EMC team, re-uses a ton of legacy EMC code, and sells a ton of servers.
@at And yet (Before Dell ruined things) EMC had more of the storage market share than 2nd 3rd and 4th place combined.
@at must be a former Dell Storage specialist...
self made problem. if you ask t-shirt boy to run a part of the company that should sell into the datacenter (of what he knows absolutely nothing about) it is very likely to fail as if you ask your dog to speak Japaneses. well the dog potentially could learn still... but wait, isn't t-shirt boy the one responsible for the CSG disaster as well? good leadership choice by Michael...
All of Dell's storage products combined made $4.8B in Q4.
PowerEdge XE alone made double that and another $43B on top of that in backlogs.
AI is what is keeping Dell, and the US economy, afloat.
funny ... nobody here has any idea of ISG - I guess its all fake bots and competition
hit the bricks....Jack
@m4 LMFAO thanks for that. Funniest thing I have seen in a long long time.
@fq Facts
@m4 such a joke listen to oh EMC oh DELL... truth is - both were big and dirty inside.. long and painful merge afterwards.
Real issue is: no one wants to improve inside.
Some of you sound like angry ants. Imagine how well off we would have been if Dell did not buy EMC. We would be much wealthier and L EMC would be dissolved/bankrupt.
Get ride of the I in ISG
@fq 100% agree. They’re absolutely terrible. Especially JSP. Her org is primarily all consultants who make slides and tell stories. She’s a waste of space.
ISG is too top-heavy. Probably about 80% of these "leaders" need to be let go. They have no idea how to run a business or sell anything, for that matter.
@fg No all the real talent was laid off or run out by Dell leadership.
@c4 Y’all spent bazillions poaching expensive talent who were buddies from Microsoft and AWS, and still flopped twice on APEX. Gimme a break.
soon as a release is posted, it's tagged with 'not recommended'. Hey, we released it, we did what we were supposed to. Our customers are getting very disturbed with us.
Imagine if ….hit the bricks sh-t lizard, your fired
Imagine how much more we'd sell if iDRAC didn't exist.
Imagine how much better the L EMC option of ISG would be doing if we had been allowed to retain the talent we had before the Dell massacre.
@a3 and given the amount of bugs of each release is really a miracle
so neither of you work in ISG - funny to read trolls that are not part - if you were - you'd know what I am talking about as of today
@a5 powerflex boss got fired, then 3 main directors... probably all 3 years too late.
It is really surprising that customerS , apart from when Server Bundling , are bying DELL/EMC storage . This is legacy tech , from a bygone era , so many caveats , bugs , if's , maybes , and 0 functionality from the era when storage was only to externally store some data as the server inside could not fit too many 200MB Disks !
The game has changed , new players will eat up the Dell installed base until MD wakes up and sells the base to the real storage guys , and then DELL becomes again what it really was in the first place , a PC logistics hub
EMC products were garbage.
Unity is 10 years old and was still selling so well they discontinued the all flash models so PowerStore could have a chance at success.
PowerFlex upgrades seem to be an absolute nightmare right now. Nothing but case after case over how bad it is....
yep, PPDM and CyberRecovery are the only ones making any money.
