tech companies are just lemmings when it comes to rapid AI usage. they’d do anything to quickly cut costs and reduce headcount. then they’ll blame engineers for not incorporating AI enough when it’s not reflecting in profit increase. then layoffs next. what a sustainable model. this AI bubble needs to pop as a wake up call for all of them (and the engineers blindly agreeing as well).

I think leadership is tempted to just start doing everything with AI. I think it would probably automate a lot of things in the short term (wrt margins) but i’m sure those cheap id--ts would start crying about how many tokens they are paying for. 😆
