Ah yes, the classic strategy: cut a bunch of jobs so the company can show “discipline” and “lean operations", then reward the people who made the decision with another bonus the size of a small country’s GDP.
Apparently the discipline only applies to headcount. Nothing boosts morale like watching the folks at the top get richer while everyone else updates their resume.
