@AX quit your whining about the union. Nothing is secret after it is presented for vote. Your beef is with the collective group. If more said no than yes in the past they would be forced to negotiate further earlier deals. If this deal does not seem good to you vote No. That is your right and if enough agree back to negotiations it goes. Ultimately the union presents a deal when they feel they can't get any better. It takes the collective to show enough displeasure to push further than that. It is always our fault for whatever deal we get. There are many southern locals that won't hold the line as securely as other places (right to work and all that jazz). Without solidarity we get what we get.
is there any pension band increases in this so called extension ,or are we going to get sc--wed again like in 2010.

Bargaining update
Team,
Verizon and the East unions have reached an understanding to extend the collective bargaining agreements for a four-year period. The current agreements are set to expire on August 1, 2026. If finalized the agreements will extend through August 3, 2030.
The company and the unions are documenting the understanding in signed contracts and expect to have that completed shortly. The contracts will be subiect to ratification by union members
We will keep you posted
