I feel like there isn’t any real insider knowledge on this page, but let’s give a go. Anyone know what the tour in first week of April will be for? With everything going on, I believe it’s potentially to bring in a new business.

For all employees sake, I hope CG is not headed down the path any time soon the same a Decatur's fate. This is exactly how our downfall came about and it took about 10 years for it to come to the point of nor return. Even though Decatur "lost", I do not want that for anyone. No one at Decatur cares much anymore. Although this is not the place to post it, I recently found out how bad project Cardinal is over budget.
With Decatur closing, 3M needs CG to be the backup. It ain’t going away anytime soon. As outdated the site is, it still has its strengths; WW, Steam Plant, Refineries in close proximity, large workforce pool, proximity to headquarters, etc. Abrasives, Bubbles and Chem all busy on site. Auto and Film are steady. 102 (formerly FATT) is currently being gutted to make way for a new production line. Things at CG aren’t as bleak as they may seem.
When BB toured Decatur, his quote was, "I see value here". 18 months later Rebecca shows up and shuts the place down, acting like she was concerned.
Making the rounds to all the plants. Menomine last week and Hutchinson this week.
Sadly, Garbage Grove is on its slow way to oblivion...the incinerator shutdown was just one step in the foreclosure process. Fortunately employees in their 40s who are in the union should be able to make it to retirement. The businesses will last long enough until being replaced by overseas factories.
No one will want to own the place since it is a PFAS wasteland. At least the wastewater plant will be running for decades given the wastes. A few jobs will be left.
Does anybody actually care?
