Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

I'm done trying

I have decided that I will not waste any more time trying to be good enough for people who are not willing to give me a chance. I have always worked hard and always did what was expected of me and then some, but this is not about my work. It is about managers playing favorites. The game is rigged. And if I can't beat them, then I'll stop trying.

Playing favourites was also the game in Citrix times. I know because I have been a "favourite" while I could be used for leadership games, and now about to get discarded. My work is suddenly "owned" by someone else and history rewritten. I hope to be out of this place in January and start a new life. I am taking my brains with me, of course, so I know I will be fine, and with an intact conscience. I am sure my my survivor has already identified another useful id--t to do his job.

How is this description of CSG culture different from Citrix's historic nepotism?

Perhaps you were favored before, for reasons that didn't include personal performance, and now you're not. Is the situation you describe playing favorites, or is it about raising the bar of expectations for those that choose to remain at CSG?

I don't know the answer, but your post made me wonder. Who is trying, who is faking?
