Thread regarding BD (Becton Dickinson & Co.) layoffs

Clean up and it’s time for Tom to leave.

Hopefully Tom will be out and we can begin to see stock price increase. His entire EVP suite has left he has eliminated everyone except his buddy who is now the chief revenue officer. When will he self reflect and realize that the problem is still here .. we’re hopefully moving in the direction of him leaving and new leadership taking over hopefully stronger better leadership because leadership is where bd fails miserably. It’s either pre Madonnas , or passive tone deaf useless VP’s who are so out of the touch with the plants and the business. It’s time to

Tom is also chairman of the board, in addition to ceo. So this makes it much harder, much less likely for the board to fire him. As chairman, he controls the flow of information to the board, sets the meeting agendas, controls what info they receive. So his spin and his narrative are being taken to the board. Without consistently missing earnings or pressure from shareholders/activist investors, nothing is likely to change. Ousting him just because of the internal chaos that employees see but they don't won't happen, because that would be a huge red flag to investors. So the status quo will be tom as ceo, continued internal chaos, layoffs, strategy changes, leadership changes, loss of talent, and this horribly low morale that seems to be pervasive throughout the company regardless of region or function.

@kn and IT (TGS) need to be wiped out completely. The most incompetent and ineffective group of people to make up an IT organization. Too many buddies and nepotism scenarios .. vendor kick backs.. no technology roadmap.. inability to integrate systems from acquisitions.. inability to deploy and upgrade fast enough .. useless is a nice term

@kn bang on! BD is on a mission to find jokers and put them into leadership position, no wonder the whole organisation is in shamble.

Tom alone won’t help much, there are lots of useless VPs. TGS probably has the highest share of useless people, they hire and promote their friends and family and then outsource the work. If things are not delivered, then they blame and change the outsourcing partner. Some VPs have maturity level close to zero. We need kick all those VPs, CIO and then do skill based hire.
