Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Is SVP Approval Required for JG12 Promotion?

Details a bit fuzzy on this. And yes, I know, it's a rough year.

dont need to envy those directors and above. they have their due stress, and bill will come down hard on them since they are eligible for LTI awards. they are paid handsomely well

The current mandate is Headcount freeze, and secondly its very difficult to get promoted above 12 or T4A. This is the fact now.

I was 14/15 during last seven years. Never once had a meeting with any of my VPs. (ESC) and never received any service anniversary recognition either. But I did get 2% raises!

@b3 Kind of hard to have a relationship with the VP when they don't stick around longer than 18 months.

If you are a 14 you should have a working relationship with your SVP already. They should know who you are and what your goals are. If you don’t, you are misaligned in the org and have bigger issues coming up.

@a5 Like most things here: it starts soft, escalates rapidly at COC level, gets unnecessarily hard, and despite all the extra scope and effort, never quite finds the right spot.

@a2

Per the policy I am seeing, 14 and below can be approved by a VP, but workday request requires 2 levels of approval which may mean a SVP has to approve

15-17 require a COC member to approve
