HR seems to have free rein to push people out through PIPs now. You go from solid reviews to suddenly being on a performance plan that's designed for you to fail. It's their way of cleaning house without calling it a layoff.

@18c An interest in making things great is not a new way of thinking or executing to make it so.
At the lower level we also don't often hire professionals who even can execute. For those who knows their hand from their a-s, it's not an amazing feeling to be in a dumpster fire pressured from the top, and given arbitrary road blocks in the materialization of every "bright" idea here.
@OP if you got a PIP, it's because your leader thinks you can turn it around. Otherwise, you would have been gone in December like all the others. There is a renewed interest in actually making this place great...very diff than under FB which was to stay afloat quarterly.
@mk what's a 9 box rule
@c0 yes. please call me.
For any current managers, … can anyone of you provide any insight on the 9 box rule, and how it’s used to rank people within your respective teams? Thank you in advance.
But HR forced pips this year. I’m a manager and wasn’t ready to put them on pips. You hr made the rule. You are controlling more and more thru the lady years. Not sure why we have managers. You control raises and all.
@az can I have ur number 😳

@az correct
THIS POST IS LAUGHABLE.
YOU DON'T REPORT TO HR PEOPLE.
YOU REPORT TO A MANAGER. THAT IS THE PERSON WHO FIRES YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT DOING YOUR JOB.
LEAVE THE HR PEOPLE OUT OF YOUR SICK DRAMA AND UNDERPERFORMANCE.
It’s also a way not to pay severance when let go.
Where do I sign?
