How are your stores managing? Day after XMas when we have the smallest budget all month, they want us to do inventory prep on the floor AND the stockroom, RTVs, RFID prep, Penny Pull from week 3, markdowns, truck, Holiday take down and transition, manage the return center, recovery and more with zero added budget. WTH?! How do you not do the Penny pull if your stockroom needs prep and it’s full of Penny. Help me understand.

Inventory is critical and very detail oriented. Lets throw in a visit the week before to really send the store team over the edge. What is asked to be done cannot be done well. Let the s..t show continue!
The initial poster is on target. How can any store accomplish the post Christmas workload? Inventory should be the #1 priority. Floor moves and the largest penny pull of the year should wait until post inventory. Drawing floor plans and completing MAJOR floor moves at the same time is ridiculous. The OPS/AP team need to take control of the situation. Profits could be destroyed with in a few days of poor management. Stop the craziness!
