My wife has MS. We have “insurance” with UHC and Optum Rx so we have nothing I guess. I’m so tired of the run around, hours on the phone and yesterday broke me. Yesterday some company Optum foisted on us came and took my wife’s wheelchair. The week of Christmas. Just ordered from Amazon because everything we need we have to buy ourselves so no idea why i even have “insurance”
The people on the phone, they try. But they have given me wrong information and sent me to incorrect numbers. I can only imagine your systems are all made of tape and string because your people can’t navigate them.
The leaders of this place should be ashamed and embarrassed. I hope you all leave and quit contributing to the creation of actual nightmares for the most vulnerable.

I would email the CEO as well.. remember CEO email addresses are PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE with the help of Google you will be able to find their email addresses..

Where do you live? I suggest you file a complaint with your state's insurance commissioner. They will look into your issue, and determine whether the insurance company handled the situation properly.
What was the name of the company that picked-up the wheel chair?

How horrible. Our last quarterly meeting optum was bragging about how they paid for an off road wheelchair for someone. Showed pictures and everything. Sadly this isn't the first time I've heard of such a thing.
My Mom passed away in 2015 and she had Medicare through UHC which was horrific! You definitely need to file a lawsuit! UnitedHealth Group and ALL it's subsidiaries should be exposed!

@OP: you need a good lawyer/law firm to represent you, the kind that don't charge anything until you collect. I have my own horror stories with UHC/Optum, but they pale in comparison to yours (yes, I otherwise pay over $300/month for "insurance", with a high deductible of $3000 per insured, thank you, sweet master!)

Omg. This will place. We had the wrong number for cpap on the website and people were calling a nursing home trying to make appointments and I got the person crying and confused and had no information to help. And my manager punishes us if we complain
