Can anyone shed some light on pay grades at Marathon Petroleum? What pay grade is entry level? What pay grade is an experienced employee with 10-15 years of experience.
Thanks!

If you don’t bug your management constantly about grade increases, it won’t happen. Don’t think good performance equals a grade increase.
Entry level engineering roles are 10. 15 is basically the top of the technical scale, if your semi competent and hang around long enough you'll make 13 eventually. 14 is when options start.
Grade is only determined by the position, not experience. This is why if your prospective position covers a range of grades you need to fight like he-l to get into the higher grade, even if you're low on that scale. Once you're in a grade it takes a promotion or an act of God to jump grades.
MPC pay grades are LOW across the board. Not comparable with other majors. Stay away, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. It also depends whose kid you are. The nepotism runs DEEP in this company.
Pay grade isn’t determined by years of experienced. There’s recent grads at grade 12 and people with 20 years experience also at grade 12
