I know many people are scared of layoffs, but I'm so fed up with this place that I'd welcome a severance package. Yes, I know it's hard to find a job right now, but I don't even care. Show me the money and I'll happily walk out.

There's so much politics and apparently the new HR from WP has influence. WP employees salaries are much higher and some of the counterparts don't have the skills. It's also obvious how some of the WP employees/leaders try to assert their dominance even they don't really have enough knowledge on a given topic.
but hello, "we'll keep wp employees because they have pressure/connection from top. Who cares about things making sense financially or operationally? We'll just fire more lower level people and shift jobs to manila."
that's their motto.
If we even get decent severance packages…. I know last time it was 2 weeks pay for every year worked. Which that isn’t that generous. Who knows what it will be this round

Same. I'd happily leave. I have over 20 years in. They need to show me the money. It's pocket change though to the mo--ns at the top. They are all so out of touch. They are taking Senior leaders from WorldPay to come in and save the various lines of the business. They just wanted new puppets that will say "Yes master." Just give me my 15 minute invite, read your cold script and I'll sit and listen to HR. Hand me my paperwork, I'll sign it and you give me my severance package. I'll gladly walk.
