@k7 Quarterly earnings report last June 2025 was on the 5th. The 10th was the 800 person layoff.
When you’re close to retirement anyway, have over 15 years here, tired of the bs, cashing out is not a bad option
Serious question, why would you leave now? I feel like you made it through the worst of times and are likely making a pant load of money that you won’t find elsewhere. Genuinely curious…..

All layoffs happen just before the quarterly earnings report.
They have to keep you on the payroll for 2 months in the US because they are not filing WARN
Your next RSU vest will not happen as you are on the payroll for 2 months only and not 3 months
If your manager is saying strange things like don't talk to anyone. Or there are random sudden deadlines to finish something by end of month. Or sudden requests to document something. Sudden requests for Knowledge transfer or Transfer of information. You are probably on the list anyway. Relax.
Careful - you might get it, and the timing could be here is 2-week severance for every year of service that = just $30K with your end date of 2 days before vesting of $130K in stocks.
It's simple. Just ask your manager.
Go to your manager and say "If there is going to be a layoff, I want to be put on the list."
