Thread regarding Texas Instruments Inc. layoffs

am i getting enough. not sure about the raise

been only here for around 1.5 years. no one discusses the raise or im not sure what im getting is the right percentage. Is less than 5% a normal rate? or are we supposed to get more? I know i should discuss this with my manager but they all say im getting the max out of all.

Normal raises for < 3 years experience this year seem to be in the 3.5% - 4% raise. I have three friends with 1.5-2.5 years of experience that jumped job grade from 24 to 26 and got 5% and 9%, though the 9% brought them to the same salary as each other starting for 26.

Honestly at TI you don't get big raises until year 3+, and even then only if you're a top ~30% performer. Outside of that TI considers you basically replaceable

@b9 high performers got 6% this year. You can get bonuses and equity. But they're shockingly rare in manufacturing and are usually reserved for the rest of the company for some reason. You can also get mid-year raises, but those are also very rare.

@ag is something like 7 or 10% possible or is it only for high performers.

@a9 3.5% average this year. That said, everyone new is being kept at a sub-market rate right now.
