So, they are spending a ton of money to fly everyone in, forcing them to remember and role play a pitch that will never be used again or be successful (Just like all the previous ones...) so that they could circle out a bunch of "low performing" SEs (and who knows others) and fire them without a cause. All so they could avoid having to pay for people's packages, meanwhile forgetting that the reason we are all here in a decline is management's own incompetency. Sounds like a really good plan to me, lol

Focusing on a "pitch" that will never be told outside of that venue shows how disconnected senior sales leadership is from reality. C-level executives are not interested in legacy tech and are actively looking at moving to other, more modern solutions. Steve Jobs once said, “If you don't cannibalize yourself, someone else will." Omnissa's leadership is focused on adding a new coat of paint on the old steam engine and hopes no one will notice it's the SOS. Lots of smart people are still at Omnissa; maybe you all can get together and focus on "what's next" and start a new company.

SEs wont be fired before WWKO in Vegas. In fact, WWKO is being used as a tool to fire SEs with cause so they could avoid paying them packages. We all heard the big man make a big stink about the 22 page "homework" and the "role playing" that is being scheduled mandatory for the event and how we will be monitored like rats and rated on our "performance"... our ability to replicate the "pitch" which everyone will admit is difficult to do when you are uncertain about the future of the product or just not feel confident about.

They keep saying we are no longer VMware yet keep managing the company like its VMware and expects a different outcome, and when they don't achieve it they just whip the tired horse.

Were we not being told last year around this time to focus on being a TAM? we are now being slapped and being told to do the opposite... lol What will it be?

WWKO in Vegas will come and pass, more people will be fired and let go... our sales will continue to decline as employees will feel more disconnected from our products and customers because management fails to address the real problem.

The real way to get the pitch delivered is to empower and enable employees who deliver the message with knowledge not fear. The technical team will not learn technical knowledge from 22 pages of marketing homework... they learn from what every technical person learns from, technical knowledge and hands on experience.

Sales roles at Omnissa will continue to high risk. The demand for our all software products is at an all-time low. Replacement sales reps will have the same challenge as the ones before them that were fired. How to convince customers that Omnissa has a future (when we employees all know that this is a huge unknown right now).

many sales engineers don’t have a sales rep now —— probably those engineers USA will be fired in coming 2-3 weeks before Vegas meeting

these SE as bad as reps maybe far worse

So who was impacted

The ones that su-ked the most.
And not nearly enough of them.

This was not a reduction in force, but performance based. Lots of backfill requisition. If you dont su-k in sales, please apply.

Cant happen soon enough... Everyone has had enough!

Something needs to fundamentally change in order for this bleeding to stop. Perhaps KKR has come to realize that the only way to turn this ship around is to address the real problem and hold top management accountable for their lack of management and leadership.

Everyone is aware that there are layoffs and job losses coming, this is no news. The question here is, what is keeping it from happening already? Why have they been dragging their feet and risking more damage instead of addressing the problem?
