If you are at least 60 years old and decided to make Dec 31st your last working day, then you still qualify to get SAIP. Below 60, you got to be on the payroll on March 1st.
You need to be in payroll officially in March 1st to get SAIP, resign before that date and you are out of payroll.
It used to be that you could put in your 60 day notice on Jan 1st and still collect the SAIP. Has that policy changed?
Wait 2 more weeks for the SAIP to drop, the resignations will be in record figures.
Many are leaving on their own. Surprisingly, a few even got GC16s last july.
So far no layoffs
No need for layoffs, big resignation expected in March after SAIP payment.
@3zxm+1kh6HA8f Exactly that's the whole point _ This time locals will be affected -
Yawn. There will be no layoffs. The company is expanding its workforce to 90k by 2030.
Re the 500-odd “open” positions, most of those job ads are not actually live.
Aramco is just continuing its gradual decline. This is hardly news!! Do wonder what the endgame really is? Highly doubt there is any actual plan at all.
And they are always in recruit mode. Always looking to upgrade their personnel.
Re the 550 jobs open for expats as noted by one writer. This does not mean that 10x this number cannot be surplussed. Back in 92 huge numbers were let go, while recruiting continued for core roles or very specialised roles. The company is far more complex that I remember back then, so easy to see why so many very specialised roles are open now, while conversations re layoffs also continue.
Question is, will they really have the ba--s to bin the dozen or so admin areas that deliver zero value? I highly doubt it.
Source?
They say that the move will affect a lot of Saudis. Restructuring of management will happen. It's a no brainer.
Can’t be many on the old payrolls left? Soon they’ll have to start sacking Saudis.
Layoffs only limited to expats. Don’t expect layoffs of locals as they are only accountable to Allah not to their supervisor, manager, or even CEO.
Yes this is coming indeed and I hope they get rid of a lot of useless people
Aramco has 550+ open jobs for expats. Not sure how management will justify more layoffs unless oil prices crash and the company cancels projects. Lost good people during the last round of layoffs, not to mention other good people who left afterwards because they got disgusted. You would think that management should have learned a lesson, but we are dealing with the LFZ so maybe not.

Good. There is a lot of dead weight being carried around here.
