I don't believe OP isn't math-impaired.
They are re-grading upper levels so they leave. They are tracking keystrokes (yes true) to look for others.
@OP obviously right another 10K will slowly exit over the year need to do for financials and efficiency. No "mass" CPM just group by group little by little. Projects will get canned and Intel will lose the top 10% there like all the previous years. really stupid but seen this over the past 15 years. The cr-ppy managers and powerpoint teams will survive and the average intelligence will go down. I have no where to go since in Portland so just hunkering down waiting Depressing
I think I’m ready to take a package. Not worth the stress working quarter to quarter
@gq absolutely spot on. Folks would do well to listen to this.
Fake
There are so many useless scammer engineers at intel lol. It’s an infestation.
@af why would the package get better? The goal is to find reasons to get rid of people at no cost. If you aren't consistently in the top 10-15% of employees in your group then you should be worried and working on a contingency plan. Also look at the viability of the group you are in. You might be the best employee ever but working in a group that has little chance of surviving. The world is changing fast. If you are living at or even very close to your income level than you could easily find yourself in deep trouble fast. Cut your costs and save.
People Managers are now the new Domain Leads. And we all know this won't change ever.
ASML is laying off middle management not to save costs. but to reduce bureaucracy and make decision making more efficient. Intel still needs to do more of this.
None of the managers do anything, and there's more managers than engineers or technicians
Sooner or later they will whittle the company down to just haifa.
I should trust OP opinions than any of the executives or managers bullsh-t
it sounds Intel is struggling financially.
@OP Random person on internet has correct information all of the time, none of the time.
There will almost certainly be targeted cuts, but another 10k in a month and a half would cripple Intel's recovery if it was focused on techs like the rumors are saying. The headcount to workload ratio is already unsustainable
@af No… only constructive discharge. Find your attorney now.

You are the 1st one to go home.
