Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

The only number that matters

2025
Total revenue was $1.663 billion versus $1.750 billion, a decrease of 5% as reported and 5% in constant currency

Outlook for 2026
Total revenue range in the range of -2% to flat year-over-year

Amazing! Astounding!

The market is booming yet teradata is dying on the vine. Revenue going backwards, customers migrating off to cloud native platforms. Death by a thousand paper cuts

@bf As a percentage, yes. Right now it's up nearly 25% in the past week. Id consider that a skyrocket.

@as Up 5 is skyrocketing? Glad you're not my financial advisor.

@as It did that before and went right back down. It’s a pattern. Meanwhile, Snowflake is over 184. How about that?

And yet the stock skyrocketed. Shows what really matters.

100% agree...recurring declining total revenue on an aging (and non-compelling) product is all the writing on the wall customers need to see, especially as @A6 points out other companies are reporting double-digit growth. Let's see the fireworks after Q1 earnings. AI on-prem is not going to save the day. Poor old Teradata is right - no company in their right mind would seriously consider Teradata (Disad)Vantage...

Other companies in the market are up double digits. Poor old Teradata.
