in one of Verizon’s big European countries today they operate in today they announced establishment of Employee form. Interesting cuts are coming by the sounds of that.

@eh I looked at that article and doubt that has anything to do with anything that might be going on now
@eh no it is also a move to expand the company in Europe in a certain country. If the company surpasses or intends to hire certain number of employees they have to set up this work council it’s law. Could be layoffs or it could be work moving to that country
He is talking about EWC and Charpentier vs Verizon case. It is supposedly blocking the mass layoffs in Europe although not for much longer.

Sorry excuse my English!. I work in the US and one of my colleagues in Europe told me about an employee Forum is being setup in their country. There was some sort of court case which Verizon lost last year. This Could be a sign they are expanding there or letting go.getting their house in order before Org change.
