Thread regarding Kroger Co. layoffs

Layoffs coming soon?

Does anyone know any info regarding possible lay offs coming soon? Something feels very reminiscent to this summer right before the big one.

They're hoping the forced relocation and return to office of some roles will work. It's kinda working. Heard a name resigning I didn't expect.

@n0 the outsourcing is 100% on Yael and Jim thinking they can outsource their way out of the mess they've created. It will look good on paper for the new CEO but create exponential amounts of tech debt and delays. I've been here long enough to see this cycle several times.

No idea if it means layoffs for FTEs or what but our business unit is aggressively offshoring its work. Seems we have someone getting kick backs from IBM or Microsoft.

@d6 what evidence is there that layoffs are happening in the next 2-4 months?

@cv so when do you think it will happen? It clearly looks like a layoff is going to hit in late Q1 or early Q2

New CEO is in. I would think remote is gone soon since he was at Walmart and they got rid of all remote. I would think by start of Q2.
