Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Raise of stupids

A notable portion of self-proclaimed "leaders" are, in fact, insecure and intellectually limited, and they actively suppress genuine talent due to feeling threatened. These managers frequently enforce strict hierarchical adherence and exhibit extreme anxiety when their direct reports communicate with individuals outside their BUs or with higher-ranking personnel.

That’s true. “Leaders” are the ones losing their minds about badge swipes, NOT HR.

It’s so obvious the “leaders” who have never had an ounce of power before they fell into management. My old boss would literally tell me about fights that she had with her bf and every time I sided with him because of how ridiculous she was. That’s someone who can’t even manage her personal life and she’s responsible for an entire team?! 🤡

They have fostered a culture where nothing is measurable. Their focus is solely on pomp, show, and connections. If an independent agency were hired to evaluate these "dinosaurs," they would likely be found utterly useless. The best course of action is to eliminate them.
