Siemens Building Tech Massive Restructuring

Building Tech Sector is getting chopped up. Zones and Area restructuring. Reapplication for jobs at Manager Levels combined with multiple RIFS. At or over the age of 60 you're out of a job! Senior sales executives leaving in droves. Sinking ship!!!!!!!!!

How have they kept Building Tech? Just push the equipment through retail channels and mark up cost to offset losses. Way too late to vendor channel lines. Market Reputation for service and install is trash thanks to years of bad management.

Building Technology is a joke. They haven't sold any new systems in years. Market reputation is awful thanks to terrible local management for past several years. It's funny how all the managers have stayed the same but all the employees have turned over! You would think that leadership would have picked up that the local management team is the market problem not the product.

Who is left???? There is only a couple senior reps and techs carrying each branch sales targets! Other than that nobody is selling anything! How can you sell when your labor rates are almost $400 per hour and costs are 100% higher than market for all disciplines? Just chop it up and sell to private equity..... Stop the bleeding already

Barely hanging on to old systems and service contracts. Most of our senior technicians and sales execs have left Siemens in the last few years working for competitive companies. Heavily operationally managed and completely priced out of the marketplace. Eventually they will just sell products through vendor channels and Home Depot! Branch environments are awful place to work.

I'm surprised they even kept this side of the business? Healthcare got chopped up years ago. Not sure why they haven't just sold off BT? My understanding is they aren't even a competitor in the marketplace anymore? Weird

Our branch use to be a $200m branch 10 years ago and we have eroded over $160m in business due to awful management decisions and no corporate oversight. However Siemens leadership still keeps the same branch managers in place? It's no wonder they are finally waking up and cleaning house! Most likely chop up and sell off to private equity as the damage is done in our marketplace. Our street reputation is awful. Better off selling off.

Middle management jobs get sacked! Over the age of 55 your on the chopping block. Been a technician for 15 years they let me go on Friday. So much for loyalty and needing technicians. It's ok I got a job overnight but not the point. This company doesn't care about you.

Offshoring infrastructure to India was the beginning. Big Government incentives to
Digitize the technology with forced a subscription model! CEO - Barbara H. Destroyed this side of the business. Then she jumped ship along with quite a few other senior executives. Now the employees have to suffer their awful decision making. Get out while you can!!!

They have lost major Government contracts over the past few years. Tariff increases have priced them out of the US Market. Rumors floating they are pushing Vendor Model but much to late to that channel. Probably sell off in pieces to private equity.
