To be honest it’s a shame how our leadership is approaching AI. AI truly has the capacity to make healthcare better but leadership just uses it as an excuse to nickel and dime employees. We are constantly forced to justify ourselves as to why something can’t be done with AI. As such there is zero real enthusiasm around AI and there is no real incentive to actually use it as you are just taking on more responsibilities without any compensation. How about instead of using ai as an excuse to layoff 20% of the company, we take care of our own and reward people for being more productive with AI. Nobody in leadership at this company actually knows how to lead
and they are completely lacking in the qualities that make a leader.

And puzzled at your hatred for AI. If you think this is just a united thing, you’re grossly mistaken. AI has been used in healthcare and is being used in healthcare. In other countries in the United States is way behind the times.
They will stare down unprecedented fines and class action lawsuits for misuse of AI within 18 months and have no one on staff to remediate it. Stock going to $100 isn’t unrealistic unless they prop up the dividend a lot more somehow.
The only possible vindication is the market responds. SH was AW's boss. AW was the fall guy. SH still has a few AW hires to rid. SH is both CEO and runs the BoD. His hubris, ignorance, and misunderstanding of our industry and political currents will drive us in the ground.
UNH is his plaything and he really doesn't care how much he destroys. He's the boss, so no one in the company will say a word, only cycle their RSUs out of UNH as soon as they vest. SH puts id--ts in place - the backward, quiet Christmas yes-man, the blowhard oaf, the alcoholic doctor, the meathead dr-g guy, and the Indian clown.
MAYBE if the stock goes to $100 SH decides he's ruined enough of his fortune and walks away. My fear is that like a compulsive gambler, he'll wait til his last quarter is eaten by the slot machines. We'll also likely bleed out the rest of the OH provider side, be forced to spin off ORX and firesale Optum AI. There is no happy ending.
