Thread regarding Devon Energy Corp. layoffs

Welp

New CEO= no wfh, subpar bonus, less than inflation salary increase, AI psychosis and the most toxic work environment in the metro. Is Continental hiring?

@sw CTRA employee here. I thought the same thing before I moved to HTX. Sure, parts of HTX are ghetto, but the same thing can be said about OKC. The CTRA office is in Memorial, which is just east of the energy corridor. It is essentially Edmond but with a sh-t ton more cash flowing through the streets; ie, fewer McMansions, more actual mansions.

@k8 that's a great way to get promoted. I only know folks who should have been fired long time back for bad decisions getting promoted to managers and higher ups.

Lol at most toxic place to work in OKC. Devon is a freaking country club atmosphere. No one ever gets fired for being bad at their jobs.

@OP My friend, you are long overdue for a trip to the NEBU taco bar. Go grab a couple of soft tacos and wash those sorrows away. I hear Widetrack sneaks in from time to time for his own tacos.

Just wait the 2026 FAFO prizes are right around the corner.
Devon can not continue with a major merger or consolidation. The 20 year runway starts to look really bad beyond year 6 even with $70/bbl.
