Thread regarding Optum layoffs

This mf is too happy

Watching his d-mb face be all happy on this all employee meeting makes my blood literally boil. I want to punch the screen.

I was laid off 1/23 and was lucky enough to get a job back at UHG. My Optum manager has been unbelievably cold even though I was told there was nothing personal about it. I will not take the risk of working for Optum again. Good bye orange and blue logo. It now makes me feel sick to see it.

It’s about time we start asking about making a difference so our stock goes up. I asked my manager and she just shrugged.. what is leadership really doing?

It's the same thing every month the week after layoffs. RIF a bunch of people, share dismal earnings results, then have a "pep rally" to pretend everything is great by talking about how great the company is and what it's innovating. Ask employees to submit questions but answer exactly zero that ask the hard questions demanding explanations and accountability.

This current speaker is the only one on the panel who seems to have any iota of what is going on in the financial or political arena, waiting for the AI guy to cut in and point out that he used CoPilot to figure out what a Republican and Democrat are.

For real. What the foook is wrong with these moe rons yucking it up. Completely tone deaf.

And the sheet they are saying about AI - my guy, auto-correct still causes more errors than it fixes. In their own trainings they stress how inaccurate the thing is.

Can't answer questions without AI? Could you be more ignorant?

Let’s all keep playing the violin on the Titanic while these incompetent executives pillage the company with their Wall Street exec packages. Keep lying or hiding truth to us in these town halls and maybe will continue to work like a bunch of lemmings over the cliff so annual surveys look like you’re doing something. The board and “management” enablers of this regime are just as complacent to say the emperor has clothes. Let’s see flashy videos tomorrow during the town hall of the few lives we save while we sc--w rest of America and rake in profits. Let’s ignore the suffering and pain we cause in delay of care and authorizations. We deserve this as wittingly or unwittingly accomplices collecting our paycheck. paycheck.

More direct communication and transparency. LOL

If that were the case, employees wouldn’t all be on HERE trying to figure out what is going to happen with their livelihood.

They're just gonna ignore the real world and reality of all the massive monthly layoffs? Stop pretending. It's demeaning.
