Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Garbage Bank, Even Worse Culture

Been here for long enough to know that Jane is a zero with shoes. She's ineffective but somehow or another got the Chairmanship last year. I guess you can say it's the age old concept of "F up, Move up?" Meanwhile 15,000 people are gonna lose their jobs this year all while the mo--n in charge counts her $25 million payday.

Constant reorganization is akin to putting lipstick on a pig. The bank is garbage. The culture is even worse. The OCC should just put the damn thing into receivership.

Citi’s work culture has deteriorated significantly, and many employees feel the environment has become increasingly oppressive under Fraser’s leadership. The bank’s Gross‑to‑Net profit margins remain weak, and the stock price reflects ongoing restructuring, repeated RIFs, and the drawn‑out Banamex divestiture rather than any real operational strength.

The recent harassment allegations involving Seig appear to be only the surface of a much deeper cultural problem. Many insiders believe these issues are symptomatic of broader systemic failures within the organization.

@ac when adjusting for the 10:1 reverse split, the stock is really around $11. That’s nothing to write home about and if that’s the only reason why she got Chairman, then she needs to go.

Biggest cost saving for citi will be to get rid of Jane. Its the new way and we don't need old Jane anymore. Get someone more dynamic and from a tech background who can actually change the bank instead of beating like a dead record. Jane needs to get off the train herself first.

Jane got the chairmanship because of our stock price. Our stock price rising was because it was undervalued and from buybacks. Its no longer undervalued and a lot of layoffs have to happen to keep the level of buybacks on track.
