Thread regarding CVS layoffs

DDAT losing developers

How clueless management is. Smh...Developers are leaving left and right. There is no pushback, just approving work constantly. New hires have zero training. Everyone is burnt out. What happened to comp days when your job forces you to work all weekend? Some managers ok with it, some managers not? And whats with the Meaningless calls 8-5 non stop every day? Who can stop this? Who can make change because its miserable to work like this.

I fear this is exactly how my analytics team was. When management did "push back" just to end up accepting the work. Everything is priority, tons of meetings but hardly any training is insane. BOL to CVS!

I think the solution is to get rid of 90% devs. Not needed. They all do the same work, lot of repeated work, waste of time, and no real output.
There will be no productivity loss if 90% devs are let go. Rest 10% are the ones who are doing the real work anyway!

It's because they let good PMs go.who avtually knew Agile software, were once developers or BAs...Instead you got lazy stuck in 2016 pms.
A good PM let's their team work.

What's left is nepo directors

In general nobody cares and different teams are allowed to operate differently.

Some are doing sprints others Kanban. Some deploy end of sprint others almost daily.

Effort and due dates are assigned my someone not doing the work.

With no official comp time policy individual directors and managers do what they want.
