G confirmed at the town hall that big RIF is weeks away. He called out management and underperformers but said cuts will come from everywhere. He also said there will more in the future but not every third thursday like employees have been used to.

Heritage Windstream has been top heavy since forever. Managers (not all mind you) do little else than to delegate, take undo credit and blame others for their eff ups.
So that sounds like nothing really new on that front. It’s an ongoing industry wide happening that never ever really stops happening. Ask any tenured employee in the telecom industry, it is the truth. If you don’t want to work for a company that has RIFs find a gas station, daycare, or restaurant job. The constant threat of random cuts or lay offs is real and will never end until the company only has robots for employees left.
Wish we could get rid of the lazy CST’s in the union. But no… good ol union will protect them
