How do they communicate the severance agreement? Personal email or what? I know my coworker was laid off in November and lost immediate access to computer. So how do they communicate the info?
I have thought about this. If I get the layoff call, I will not be speaking on the call, I will type in the chat only. I am not giving them that final satisfaction of hearing my voice ever again or any of my emotions.
My team was acquired by Optum and it has been downhill ever since. I feel like they have been pushing us to quit. I won't be surprised if I get the invite Friday morning. I used to enjoy the work but I am so detached now. I do my work and distance myself from coworkers.
@bz The severance package documentation goes to your personal email address. You will need to give it to your manager (or their manager, if you manager is also let go). Whether you stay or go, everything will get reorganized, probably under a less qualified VP who doesn't understand your work.

I was notified in my 1:1. Worst company I have ever worked for. Management doesn’t know what’s going on, how to do the work and steals your ideas and pretends they haven’t. Higher management is too young and gets promoted for no good reason. Definitely the higher than manager positions need to be cut way down. They are totally to top heavy. I can’t wait for my old boss to get the RIF message this year.
Before it all happened where you all added to a certain e-mail distribution list or it just happened and your boss had no clue it happened looking for warning signs.

They’ll ask for your personal email. I simply said the words “understood” when they called me.
I was RIF’d.in November 2024 and they sent me a package overnight that detailed cobra and severance. You will retain access to e-mail though.
