Thread regarding Commscope Inc. layoffs

Future of Aurora

Any rumours if Aurora networks could be sold like Ruckus?

Will there be more layoffs?

If Aurora is sold, what happens to vistance employees based in Aurora offices? Are they laid off, do they become Aurora employees?

The rebranding of the ANS segment back to Aurora Networks is a nostalgic move for industry vets—it’s the name of the company Arris (and eventually CommScope) originally acquired years ago.

Current Strategy: For now, Vistance is positioning Aurora as its primary growth engine for HFC (Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial) and broadband network products.

Market Position: Aurora is currently riding a wave of high demand as cable operators upgrade to DOCSIS 4.0 and AI-driven network management.

The Bottom Line: It is highly likely that Ruckus will be sold if the price is right, as Vistance seems intent on becoming a lean, specialized broadband access provider rather than a broad enterprise networking giant.

Layoffs are coming for Vistance employees - with the significant reduction in the number of employees post sale, corporate function employees will be cut; Aurora and Ruckus employees are slightly more safe since they are part of a segment. Rumors are floating there are interested buyers for both segments - time will tell. It's a really uncertain time post sale - the lack of communication and direction is both telling and terrifying.

Yes. There are multiple interested buyers for both companies. After spending billions on the company, do you think they want to take on more people on their payroll? No way, José.
