WFR and Jobs Moving to India – Manager Said “Use AI and Low Cost Region Labor“

My manager recently said, “Reducing costs and improving efficienc; Use AI and low-cost region labor (per stakeholders).”
So AI hasn’t been able to replace the work we do, yet apparently moving the role to a low-cost region is now being treated as the “solution.”

I’m tired to teaching AI complex things. It is so useless in advance code base and platform.

Plus I need to recheck everything and all the saved time is lost. No gain or productivity.

AI is replacing the low cost exercises typically outsourced to India. It's the ultimate low cost offshoring solution. Everyone knows this.

Back in 2019 I was told to get a project manager from India instead of one from our organization. While working with their guy I asked him about how much they made there. It was like $12/hr.

Man, this place has zero innovation left. All they’re doing is trying to survive by cutting costs. And of course, it’s always the engineers getting hit while management just sits back and waits to retire. Feels like as long as the company keeps running for them, nothing else matters.
