Which computer science programs specialize in debugging FORTRAN that looks vaguely like C? Cisco isn't the only large company that spent more than 70% of its development budget on bug fixing. Someone needs to explain why so much code was so bad before massive international development or even massive H-1B usage.

I left in October because my position was "terminated" after 25 years. Within a month, I landed in a position to enable all the major AI Hyperscalers. There are a lot of Arista switches for the front end network but I have not seen a single Cisco product so far. Of course, the back end network is all Nvidia. So much about the Cisco AI stories, considering that I was once in the Cisco "AI" team.
Problem is they’ll just hire right in India if they can’t move them here.
If they could it would have happened decades ago when in all hands executives invited US citizens to move to India. Now, like back then, Cisco can't attract the best and the brightest so they have to take what they can get where they can get it.
How about Cisco just close up shop in the U.S. and move to India? GTFO of my country.
May be government should investigate all the forgiven PPP loans which went to these businesses. If there is a fraud, they should get the money back and prosecute.
Go to jobs.now and apply for H1-B jobs. When you apply for one, it derails their market search.
