Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

It's not the end of the world

People here are acting like something like this never happened before, to anybody. People will talk about it for a few days and it'll be forgotten. Move on, everybody.

See what the churn rate is in Q1. Then you'll know the impact. I feel bad for the CS and B2B reps that are going to have people yelling at them over the next week.

@OP A widely publicized nationwide outage is a serious problem for a company that charges premium prices and claims to have “the most reliable network”.

@OP You sound like this guy we have as a second liner in Jersey construction nothing matters as long as he gets his paycheck .He doesn't care what gets missed or who's out of service! I'm thinking they might make him the next CEO!

"Is the OP an ostrich?"

Worse.
Part of The Curry Problem.
Their culture is all about lying, denying, cutting corners, creating chaos, and then expecting actually talented people to clean it all up.

I'm a developer and work for one of the largest US bank but came here to read from working Verizon people what was going on... All sounds like a mirror of what we have at the bank: never-ending reorgs, good tenured people fired by thousands in US, toxic management and rapidly deteriorating culture everywhere, outsourcing to India on a massive scale (I think we have about 40% of people in our US bank working in India now although, I recall, bailouts came from US taxpayers), constant lies in townhalls and linkedin c-suit warriors posting about cool culture and their achievements then in a couple of years after doing great damage, they move to another company and the cycle of damage repeats. It is beyond my understanding how they find these F *** "leaders", but if Biden and Trump were selected to lead this great country, no surprise.

There is a saying: “A great man doesn’t seek to lead. He’s called to it. And he answers.
