Macy’s to lay off nearly 1K workers, close facilities in Cheshire

In a WARN notice sent Tuesday to the Connecticut Department of Labor and Cheshire Town Council Chairman (Mayor) Peter Talbot, Macy’s said its fulfillment center buildings located at 475 Knotter Drive and 181 West Johnson Ave. in Cheshire are closing and 993 full-time and part-time positions are being eliminated.

Not good as this used to be a very busy DC. China Grove is in NC so nowhere near this one in CT. Feel bad for all affected hopefully there are other positions available or take unemployment for now.

A.I and robots have taken reign at the new China Grove super DC. A new DC means closure of nearby old DC’s.
