Anybody have the link to where EDJ shows up on a WARN Notice? I’m not finding it anywhere. I found in Missouri other companies that gave WARN notices but not EDJ. Thanks.

@cp You’re exactly right. It’s crazy that there aren’t WARN notice requirements that cover a longer stretch of time. The current setup allows firms like EJ to layer layoffs and avoid the requirement.
Strategic? Yes. Unethical? Also yes.
Why do you think all of the VSP and ISP separation dates were staggered? Less than 500 people separated in any given wave so that the firm fell short of being required to file WARN notices.
As an investor, it would raise serious questions about the stability of the company if they laid off 3000 people at once.
Missouri does not have a standalone, state-level WARN Act that adds notice requirements beyond federal law. That means Missouri generally follows the federal WARN Act for layoff/closure notice obligations.
The federal WARN Act (29 U.S.C. §§ 2101–2109) is the primary law requiring advance notice when businesses plan major layoffs or closures.
What Events Trigger a WARN Notice?
Mass layoff — job losses at a site that:
affect 500 or more employees, or
affect 50–499 employees and at least 33% of the workforce at that site.
“Employment Loss” includes termination, layoff >6 months, or reduction in hours ≥50%
It appears EJ plans to reach its target through a series of smaller layoffs, spacing them out over time rather than conducting one large reduction.
