People will come back when there are more layoffs, looking to vent and get information.
This site being dead is good news: no layoffs
I wouldn’t be so sure about that.
This site is dead.
Sound like a bargain comparatively. Are we still sinking billions in hydrogen? Any progress over the last 40 years?
@fx the programs were mismanaged from the start. Xt6 was the first to carve out r/d timing. Hummer was the first real rush job under bpd9. Issues written were ignored, projects were handed off to the people that skipped writing issues so it looked to be going flawless. Once it hit f0 it fell flat on its face as they pilled up in the float lot. Saic deals ends in 2027 at that point GM will not build or design their own cars anymore. If GM is lucky the Chinese will let GM sell their cars under the GM logo.
Did they finish the stock buybacks? If so, we are now in the layoff phase of the GM cycle.
@py I just took a massive sh-t, that tells me AI fatigue IS real. Wet, sticky and dark brown.
Looks like Mary will be giving out more unpaid colonoscopies in February…
Anyone else find it weird that each post has an exact amount of dislikes to likes?
2027 Cap: Mandatory training of your AI Agent replacement.
AI, AI, AI, AI, AI, AI, AI, AI, AI, AI, AI, AI, AI, AI
AI fatigue is real.
It might be amusing to watch it all fail once the corporations go all in but the caveat is that we will hear about it in a homeless camp. I wonder if the execs think AI will also buy the products.
It wouldn’t surprise me if they add more headcount reduction in the beginning of February after reviews In January to offset this cost.
But seriously, how Many more people in departments can they cut?
It’s not like all those new AI bots they released to our job environment are going to make up for lost productivity.
I'm really surprised the design folks fired late October aren't going to the press about how mismanaged the EV programs are. It's beyond belief. The people at the bottom are being blamed and fired for this incompetence.
Endgame: Very certain that it's all going to be designed and manufactured in China and South Korea.
Yes I appreciate posting days old news. Maybe you post an article about Dave r leaving
We should divide the workers into 2 groups
1) people who can and do produce the product
2) people who don't know how to make the product
Firing happens to group 1. Bonuses go out to group 2.
Welcome to the fake american economy propped up by fiat money.
Should probably give all these middle managers a raise. While we're at it hire more of their friends and family.
They'll just raise the prices of the top level trucks and SUVs to 150k.
Good thing we don't depend on the middle class for vehicle sales.
When will the overpaid Senior Leadership, that made these expensive mistakes, going to be fired? All of us low level employees could see this was going to fail!!
