Something is on the Refining Horizon..

Hearing rumors of something big coming 2Q26 - refining specifically, possibly selling refiner(y)ies or a big restructure. Anybody hear anything big?

@1n2 The Mannen “effect” is on full display with Levi’s “retirement.” He was the last remaining Refining Organization senior leader who truly understood and championed disciplined, strategic investment in refining assets. He grasped the realities of operating and sustaining assets over their full lifecycle—an approach increasingly absent amid today’s singular focus on MPLX financially driven models.

Where there is smoke, there is fire. Our CEO and Wall Street focused BOD have reportedly spent months working with POTUS to expand our ability to process Venezuelan crude, potentially through the acquisition of a major Gulf Coast refinery and the divestment of smaller regional facilities. In the short term, the winners are clear—POTUS, Wall Street, and senior MPC leadership. This strategy shift represents a huge departure from our corporate values. We no longer are Fueling the American Spirit, but rather one fueling the political interests of POTUS and oligarch greed on Wall Street. This is deeply troubling.
