At this point you gotta wonder if the people left are the talentless ones.
Who has ditched that ship already??

Who got cut this week?

More cuts with nothing communicated, lack of regard for remaining staff unsure of the cuts and where these will end and lack of respect for the good people let go.

@1v6 It MAY be best to leave on your own terms. If you’re near retirement age, ride that pony as long as you can. If you don’t have the ability to live for six months without pay, then jump ship.

@17j

This is true. I wish people would see that Apache isn’t getting better and it’s best to leave on your own terms.

I took it a step further by changing industries. O&G is too volatile even without bad leadership.

The faster the oil production declines in the North Sea the better the chances that APA hands assets back to BP for decommissioning

Life after Apache is so much better once you move to a company with an actual plan for success.

I think the new wave of layoff has started. Just heard a few folks just left this morning. Another sad day.

Facts. I don’t miss the toxic anti white male accounting org. BH should just go today.

When they put the bottom drilling engineer on the reservoir engineer team and then he became the top performer, you know what’s coming.

@ar have you ever wondered why gloom and doom is normal at APA?

Got to shed some folks in those departments to pay for JJ new SVP salary.

No one likes layoffs but face it. You’d be better off anywhere else

@OP according to who? Or is this just the normal doom and gloom reporting?

These are necessary for two reasons. First, the company is not profitable. Second, the ELT can’t give themselves re-org bonuses if they aren’t re-org’ing.

When the ship is sinking the masters (ELT) will throw as many people overboard as they can to keep the disaster afloat a little longer so they can keep ra-ing the corporate coffers.
